So, what is 'The Centre'?
It's an exciting new chapter in Care for Children's 'Vision for million'. The Centre will be used for:
1. Care for Children offices
Care for Children will move their offices to the centre.
2. Multi-purpose training centre
The centre will accommodate all of Care for Children's training needs, as well as be a space for other training requirements serving both local and national initiatives.
3. Care for Children school & clinic
Grace school & clinic will be a special needs school serving expatriate children in Beijing, and will be managed as a 'model of best practice' for China. In response to growing needs from the foster care projects, the clinic will also incorporate teaching methods used in the school for a training programme that will support special needs education throughout China.
4. Community Centre
The centre is an ideal environment to encourage a variety of community based activities - the multi-purpose training facilities and activity rooms will be available for public use. Furthermore, it is surrounded by beautiful open spaces, football pitches, a children's playground, and plans are in place for a coffee shop.
Serving China's future
'The Centre' is designed to serve China. Care for Children's government partners support the project and will be active members of ongoing training activities, such as:
- Care for Children's training programmes
- Manchester United soccer schools
- Community support projects
- Youth clubs & after school activities
- Special education classes & services
- Adult education classes & services
- Social outreach & fundraising
