Our Impact

Care for Children's work has resulted in an estimated one million orphans and vulnerable children growing up in families instead of institutions.

As well as ensuring good quality family-based alternative care is provided when children cannot live with their birth family, Care for Children also advocates that a healthy child welfare system will need to include family strengthening and family reunification to ensure children can remain with their birth families when possible.
