Mrs. Mookjai first found out about her community’s and Care for Children’s foster family placement program from her sister. She has always loved children so it wasn’t long before she decided to go ahead with the process of becoming a foster mother.

Since then, she has taken in two boys, Tai and Niran. In the two years they’ve lived with her, Mrs. Mookjai says she’s noticed how much the boys have grown. In fact, on the day our team spoke with her, the boys happened to be getting involved with some local community work by helping to paint one of the village buildings.

Mrs Mookjai was very proud. Each day, she told us, she sees how the boys are becoming more disciplined and more closely integrated into the village community.
